There are many casinos in the state, the biggest number being on anchored riverboats. There are many other popular Iowa casinos, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.

A tinier Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a river based gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. Another Iowa water based casino, The Isle of Capri, is available all day and night, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. riverboat casino in Clinton, has 506 one armed bandits, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday twenty-one matches.

Iowa casinos present a great amount of tax revenue to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has permitted the funding of a good many commonwealth wide projects. Visitors have increased at a rapid rate along with the demand for services and a growth in employment. Iowa casinos have been helpful to the advancement of the market, and the affection for betting in Iowa is across the board.
